There's a Harry Potter supper club opening in London this summer

From book clubs to immersive conventions, there's been a number of ways for hardcore Harry Potter fans to commemorate the 20th anniversary of J.K. Rowling's first book so far this year. And for those who have been hoping to celebrate the wizarding world with a glass of Butterbeer, things are are looking up, as a new supper club serving Hogwarts-inspired food and drink is coming to London this summer.

The Harry Potter dinner series will take place at Covent Garden members' club The Library every Friday and Saturday night throughout August and September, and the seven-course menu is as magical as you might expect.

The evening begins with a meeting at Library's very own platform 9 ¾ and after a welcome drink of Butterbeer or Firewhiskey and the 'Hogwarts letter' amuse bouche, guests can tuck in to the trio of starter courses. First up is 'Devil?s Snare' (chia seed, seaweed and courgette) followed by the 'Who is Peter Minus' (lamb, cinnamon and onion crumble) and the 'Triwizard Tournament' (baby red mullet).

After the 'Hatstall' (beef fat with bread and chicken liver parfait) and 'Secret Keeper' main courses (smoked anguilla in kimchi broth), diners might want to save room for the 'Honeydukes' dessert - a white sesame sponge, goat cheese curd, figs and bay leaf ice cream. Who said eating at Hogwarts wasn't decadent?

And of course, it wouldn't be a Harry Potter-themed dinner without the right costume. So, those attending can finally get to wear that Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw or Slytherin outfit they've been saving since Halloween.
